ANNUAL NOTICE REGARDING NON-VISA PINLESS
DEBIT TRANSACTIONS (top)
You may use your Visa Debit Card to initiate both Visa debit transactions and non-Visa debit transac-tions without using a personal identification number (PIN) to authenticate the transactions.
To initiate a Visa debit transaction, you may sign a receipt, provide a card number or swipe your card through a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and choose to route the transaction over a Visa network.
To initiate a non-Visa debit transaction, you may enter a PIN at a point-of-sale terminal or, for certain bill payment transactions, provide the account number for an e-commerce or mail/telephone order transac-tion after clearly indicating a preference to route it as a non-Visa transaction. We have enabled non-Visa debit transaction processing on the NYCE, Jeanie, Co-op and Cirrus networks.
The rights and protections applicable only to Visa debit transactions, including additional customer liabil-ity limits and streamlined error resolution procedures, as described in your Electronic Fund Transfers Agreement and Disclosure will not apply to transactions processed through non-Visa networks.

DIRECT DEPOSIT (top)
Direct Deposit is a safe and convenient way to have your money deposited directly into your checking or savings account. Instead of taking a check to the bank, your money will automatically be transferred into the accounts you specify.
Convenient and Reliable - Your money will be in your account whether you are on vacation, sick or just too busy to deposit a check.
Safe and Secure - When there is no check there is no threat of theft or potential for loss.
Confidential - The transaction is completely confidential. Your deposit will appear on your pay stub, and can be confirmed by calling your financial institution or verifying your balance online.
Direct Deposit helps you manage and control your money, helping you maintain financial stability - conveniently, securely and confidentially.
Direct deposit can be used for salary payments, Federal government benefit payments, pension, annuity and dividend payments, expense reimbursement and other regular payments you receive. For more information, visit www.electronicpayments.org
GODIRECT - DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR FEDERAL CHECKS (top)
With direct deposit, your Social Security or SSI checks go straight into your account at the same time each month, thus giving you more control over your money. It eliminates the risk of stolen checks and forgeries and helps protect you from identity theft.
Direct deposit also provides immediate access to your money from virtually anywhere.
Direct deposit is safer than mailing checks. You are 30 times more likely to have a problem with your federal benefit check than with your direct deposit payment.
It's easier than checks, because people who get benefits don't need to go to the credit union to deposit a check. Their payment goes straight into their account on payment day each month, giving you more control over your money.
Plus, direct deposit allows immediate access to funds from virtually anywhere. It's easy to sign up for direct deposit, and it only takes a few minutes -- call the Go Direct toll-free helpline at (800) 333-1795, or enroll online by clicking here. You also can sign up at your credit union or local Social Security office.
If you are a taxpayer you should care about direct deposit. The Treasury issues more than 150 million benefit checks annually. If all those were converted to direct deposit, it would save taxpayers about $120 million annually. Almost all the money saved remains in the Social Security Trust Fund.
Unless the rate of direct deposit use increases, the costs associated with issuing federal benefit checks will balloon when baby boomers start retiring in 2008.
The Treasury recognizes that it is important to take action now. The money saved on postage, printing and other costs as a result of Go Direct will be used to cover the costs of future Social Security payments.

YOUR CREDIT REPORT (top)
Thanks to recent changes in federal law, each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies are now required to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. Your credit report is an important record of your financial history, and knowing what it contains can be very helpful. The information is often sold to creditors, insurers, employers and other businesses that use it to evaluate your applications for credit, insurance, employment, or renting a home. It is also useful to help guard against identity theft.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to protect your interests and plan for the future!
The three nationwide consumer reporting companies - Equifax, Experian and Trans Union have set up one central toll-free number, mailing address and website through which you can order your free annual report.
You may order your reports from each of the three companies at the same time, or from only one or two. The law allows you to order one free copy from each company every 12 months. Do not contact the companies individually for this service.
- By phone: call 1-877-322-8228
- By mail: print and fill out the request form from www.ftc.gov/credit and mail it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 104281, Atlanta GA 30348-5281
